Key Stakeholder Workshop organized by KACST x ABM Group

The “Unlocking the Potential of Deep Sea Mining” workshop was held on September 17, 2024, organized by KACST (King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology) in partnership with ABM Group. The focus of the discussions was on the potential development of deep-sea mining, specifically exploring deep oceanic resources. The event brought together representatives from the public and private sectors, along with scientific and technological experts, to share knowledge and experiences to accelerate innovation in the field. Legal and environmental aspects of deep-sea mining were also discussed in alignment with international standards.
